How We Can Help

Serving The Upper Montgomery County Community Since 1989

We are the Upper Montgomery Assistance Network. Our mission is to prevent homelessness, help families prevent the loss of a vital utility service, support people in housing transition, and educate and empower people in crisis. UMAN was established in 1989 as a second tier assistance organization. Working with the County (first tier), we arrange for funds to be provided to landlords, mortgage companies, or utility companies for families who are facing immediate loss of housing or utility services. We have a Program Manager and dedicated team of volunteers assisting families every day, and a Board of Directors, overseeing the organizations operations.

Our Mission

The Upper Montgomery Assistance Network (UMAN) works to prevent homelessness, help families prevent the loss of a vital utility service, support people in housing transition, and educate and empower people in crisis.
